Oishii in Karlsruhe

Mass processing, but fun by ordering on the iPad. The sushi is delicious, the fried rice and fried noodles are not recommended.

I have eaten Oishii twice, but I don't think I will be giving it a third try. Having eaten at all Japanese restaurants in Karlsruhe, I can tell you that this one is my least favorite for various reasons: 1) The sushi rice tastes weird and the texture is aproximate to mushy. 2) The yaki tori is too salty and over-cooked, using low-grade chicken thighs. 3) The nigiri cuts seem amateur and are smaller than any other in the city. 4) The salmon tataki was the worst I have ever tried. I don't think they understand the essentials of this simple, but delicious dish. Here, it was basically fully cooked minced salmon cheeks mixed (for whatever reason) with finely chopped onion, tomato and what seemed to be paprika. The cut (maki) rolls are probably the most decent thing about this restaurant, but those are quite difficult to mess up. If there world was ending and there was no other sushi choice, I might eat here again, but otherwise do yourself a favor and skip it. Plenty of other Japanese/Asian restaurants were you can get your money's worth for authentic, quality food.

Very, very good sushi, at least compared to what I am used to from my home country. Will definitely go back when I'm in Karlsruhe. The crab balls from the buffet are particularly recommended

The food is delicious and served quickly too! However, no corona measures are observed here! The guests are still sitting very close to each other here! People are queuing at the door! Very scary and unsettling!

In principle, I liked it. Mostly the dishes suited my taste). At one of the stages, muschel was not brought. Everyone was already full and did not want to spoil their mood. Also, the distance between the tables is clearly not consistent. Therefore, I put 4.

Good value

For the first time in years at the Oishii. Unfortunately it has subsided. The interior is pretty shabby and not very clean either. The food is OK for the price. Taste experiences are not to be expected. Be careful with the soy sauce, it's extremely salty.

- VERY IMPOLITE!! - Seafood is NOT FRESH - You can only order 5 dishes per 10 minutes. For example, only eat 5 small sushi in 10 minutes. I think that's funny. In the end, we want a little bit of fruit. There is a fruit salad on the menu (kiwi, melon ...) We asked for some melon because we just wanted some fruit. The waitress said they only have apple. Fruit salad with only apple? Interesting. Very disappointed. Worst Japanese food. TOTALLY MONEY BURNED.

Software has unfortunately deteriorated, food was very good in the evening. Portion size not recognizable, e.g. 2 crab claws, but then only 1. When it comes to ice cream, there are several balls in one bowl, then again in separate ones. Due to the lack of assignment, you either have to know exactly what you have ordered or simply eat what you have ordered, nobody is claimed for yourself.

The quality of the sushi is really very good, all fresh. We went for lunch and the price is great, in the evening it costs an extra 10 € per person but has more variety of choices. To go back absolutely.

Was OK for all you can eat. I personally think it's too expensive. For 50 € I can eat better sushi.

Sushi is ordered via tablet. It's super fresh and totally delicious. Everything tastes incredibly good and varied. We were there again within a week. Anytime again.

So what I ate again ... super delicious, super easy to order and everything very quickly there. Price performance is simply mega. Even in the evening when the extended menu is available.

It has never happened to us here before that a dish came cold on the table. The selection of drinks also leaves nothing to be desired. The waitresses are always lovely and very authentic. This makes me and my husband really happy with each visit. The decorations on the tables and in the entire restaurant are justifiable and beautiful. The toilets are always clean and all in all the place gives a harmonious impression. I have not been so impressed by a place for a long time.

Cheap, I liked that u have to pay if u have leftovers when u order the buffet. Sushi wasn't that great, not that much variety. Also the host was super rude.

Very, very delicious food and super nice service, who explains everything to you step by step when you are here for the first time. The food is brought to you really quickly. It's super cool that if you order all you can, you can order the food yourself using a tablet. This gives you a good overview of what you have already eaten and you can always look for something new. But it is really expensive. I think it would be included in the price if you could also order drinks.

Good variety of products for a fair price. They don't accept credit or debit card from other European countries or other parts of the world. Only cash or German cards. We had to go to the bank and take cash after we finished our food because we didn't know this and it ruined our experience.

Have been visiting this restaurant on a Saturday night without reservation. As usually it was packed with a lot of people but I could still catch a seat. As for the sushi it was great and reasonably priced - I'd skip their warm dishes like chicken the next time though as I didn't like it. Staff was friendly.

Superschneller Service

Choice of food for the AYCE is limited but quite well executed. I especially like the salmon salad, gyoza and grilled mushroom. Best food though: Lychee Ice Cream (very fragrant and delicious). Went there with a friend and from what I understand for the 2 of us, we get to order 10 rounds of 10 dishes every 10 minutes through their tablet. I find this to be convenient. They will deliver the food to the table so you can continue to chat without moving back and forth to buffet table. The sushi portion is small, nigiri sushi is 1 piece per order. The rolls are 2 pcs per order. It’s enough for us as we could only use 4 rounds but others might differ. Choose wisely then :). Service is friendly and sweet as well. Check the opening hours so you get to sit longer.

Very good service and great all you can eat lunch menu, the food arrives unbelievably quickly and is all very delicious!

Nice concept, fast service and okay food, especially all you can eat. Since one gets to order (10 rounds, 5 items each round, 10 minutes between the rounds, during 3,5 hours) a lot for a relatively cheap price. Nevertheless, I was informed on the phone that the lunch will be cheaper than the dinner even on the weekends but we were charged the full price. Also, 3 stars instead 4 because the service could be more friendlier. Apart from that, we had a good time. Would recommend to go one time, especially for ice cream which is very tasty!

Gutes all you can eat

The price is okay and they offer a variety of eat all you can food. During noon or dinner time it is really full. Sometimes your order (through a tablet) last a bit longer or being serve to another person. The taste is okay but not really that special. The staff are friendly. If you go with a big group better to call for a reservation.

Best sushi buffet place in town

Sushi is okay in taste, but nothing really special. Atmosphere is nice, although the wait staff has some troubles speaking English or German. All you can eat sushi is worth the price.

Great all you can eat.

They dont take credit card , no debit card only cash or german bank card. Its so not tourist friendly !!! If your in Karlsruhe and your a tourist avoid this place !!!

Tasty

Open on Sunday Midday Menu was 15EUR, all you can eat with good service and food was great also. Accommodation is big but doing a reservation for big groups would be recommended.

Good food and good service, the menu has variety for most if not all palates. I would call it a good place to spend some time in with friends or family. The matcha ice cream is a must-get.

Nice food. I like fresh red fish without salt - you can feel real taste of fish. Also you can try octopus meal - it looks like two balls.

It's not the best sushi of my life, but worth the price.

The buffet consists of up to 10 rounds of 5 pieces per person. Lunch is quite a bit cheaper than dinner, but some dishes are dinner-only. We seldomly manage more than 6. The quality was a bit lacking couple months ago, but seems to be good again. Love their algae salad and green tea ice cream. Music / audio can be annoying, though, as there is no concept and they play wildly different styles and volumes.
